I like this set-up because it is perfect for growing small quantities of many different kinds of plants in a compact space, which is ideal for a kitchen herb garden. My suggestion is to have a system to mist the. I would definitely recommend this one. The plants in the Aerogarden especially the basil grow astonishingly fast, and they take very little maintenance. I guess I need to change them to a big pot later but nice to look at now! Against all odds, the plants in my Aerogarden are thriving! Adding fresh herbs has really improved my cooking.

I had owned one of the original AeroGarden's roughly 10 years ago. I add water every day to two, add fertilizer every couple weeks, and periodically prune away any part that is trying to blossom. Easy and everything I need to start some herbs on my kitchen windowsill! I've already filled the first planter and I'm tempted to buy another so that I can continue to expand the range of culinary herbs ready to hand! The light timer and reminder to add the liquid fertilizer is easy to set up by just holding down the timer button until the light turns on and off. The packaging is adorable, just like my bonsai kit. The light needs to stay on for 16 hours a day, so I have it set to be on from. I will say that the light is extremely bright, and as such illuminates most of my house in the evening I have it in the kitchen.

Even though this is for spices plants, I used it to grow my cucumbers because I already got a big pot for basil, etc. I will say that I'm very impressed with this newer model. Anyway, this product is really cute in my view. I easily fixed this by raising the stand to lower the intensity. That one had 6 pods, this one has 3. I chose a lot of similar stuffs to compare and finally decided to give it a try even with mixed two reviews then.

I get tons of compliments on meals I make using herbs from the Aerogarden. It is really nice to have the plastic tray inside, but I think when you water too much near the corner it will still leaks somehow so if you want to put it on a desk with books or that kinda stuff you may want to water your plants carefully. I'm producing enough basil to make pesto on a regular basis, and the mint keeps me in mojitos. I had so much fun with my bonsai kit that I decided to order another product from Garden Republic. I have even made cuttings from the plants in the Aerogarden and transplanted them to small pots. I have managed to kill all manner of houseplants, so I didn't have high hopes for this.

Now that the cooler weather is on the way I want to have fresh herbs in my kitchen. The plant leaves browned and crisped. I buy replacement seed pods straight from the Aerogarden website so I can choose the mix I want, and I transplant the plants to. . I really loved the idea of it, but eventually got rid of it because it was extremely difficult to clean. . .
